The all-new interactive experience at the Darling Harbour attraction is fronted by a new wax figure of former Bollywood bombshell, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, as well as Bollywood bigwig, Shah Rukh Khan. After marvelling at their larger-than-life likeness, go backstage to connect with your beloved Bollywood stars on a movie production set. Take the spotlight by starring in an iconic Bollywood film scene from the iconic love story, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, otherwise known as DDLJ. Show off your steps by learning a Bollywood dance act in our rehearsal studio, then choose an extravagant outfit and take centre stage for a show-stopping performance.
The Rise of Priyanka
Born in India in 1982, Priyanka Chopra Jonas wears many hats: actress, singer, film producer, and winner of the Miss World 2000 pageant. As one of her home country’s highest-paid and most in-demand celebrities, she’s won a multitude of awards and has been honoured by the Indian Government and nominated by Time as one of the world’s 100 most influential people.
Instead of following her aspirations to study aeronautical engineering, Priyanka made her Bollywood debut in 2003, riding the wave of her Miss World fame. She then took on the part of the leading lady in numerous box-office triumphs, fast becoming an A-lister of Indian cinema. As well as her work in front of the camera, behind it – Priyanka works with UNICEF, becoming the national and global UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for Child Rights. While standing up for the environment, education, gender equality and feminism, this superstar has also released three singles and founded the production company, Purple Pebble Pictures.
