Rainy Days in Sydney

Rainy Days in Sydney

Thursday, June 9, 2016

Are you sick of being stuck indoors on the weekend, because it always seems to rain? Do your kids drive you slightly crazy any time moisture even threatens to come from the clouds above? Have you seen every Netflix movie available? Read on for a couple of our favourite things to do in Sydney when it's raining.

Take your little darlings to Darling Harbour

Darling Harbour is arguably one of the most family-friendly locations in Sydney. We recommend hitting up Darling Harbour’s 3 most wet weather-friendly attractions: SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium, WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo and Madame Tussauds Sydney - they’re literally right next to each other! Kids will love meeting all the cute and cuddly animals as well as all of the coolest celebrities (our favourite is still Taylor Swift, closely followed by Rebel Wilson). You'll also save big by purchasing a multiple attraction pass. Find out more about the Sydney Big Ticket savings here.

Hit the Shops

I can already hear you saying “shopping, with MY kids… really?!” But shopping in Westfield Sydney is a family friendly treat! And by treat, we mean there are loads of delicious cafes and restaurants with treats to keep the kids quiet! Once you’re done with the shops, head to the top of the Sydney Tower Eye – it sits right on top of Westfield Sydney. Did you know that Sydney Tower Eye have a wet weather promise? If it’s raining, you can visit again for free for 7 days! Plus, the kids will absolutely love the Sydney icon's 4D cinema experience - it's included free with your ticket.

So, no more excuses! The kids will love you for taking them out, and we think you’ll have a great time too.
